• The Statue of Liberty: Yes, it is in New York. It was actually a gift from France to America, and it remains a symbol of freedom and liberty. This 152-foot-tall individual weighing 45,0000 pounds is the real attraction here. Take a boat ride to the islands and see the statue from the foot of it. It’s amazing.
• At Ellis Island, the attraction is the immigration museum. Here, thousands of immigrants are verified before entering America.
• Central Park, is a half-mile wide and 2.5 miles long. In the winter, you can skate across the Wollman rink. The main attractions in the central park are Belvedere Castle, Strawberry Fields, the Central Park Zoo, and Lake Merced.
• Visit the Rockefeller Centre, a shopping and entertainment complex that houses NBC-TV and other media, as well as the 70-story Rockefeller Plaza, an Art Deco skyscraper with views of Manhattan.If it is the holiday season after Thanksgiving Day, a huge Christmas tree is erected here. The other attraction here is a bronze sculpture of Atlas in front of the International Building.
• Another popular attraction is the Metropolitan Museum of Art, founded in 1870, which houses a collection of over two million works of art spanning over five thousand years. The most important spot here is the Met Fifth Avenue, where you can see American decorative arts, arms and armour, costumes, Egyptian art, musical instruments, and photographs.
• Then proceed to south Manhattan, where the Met Cloisters are located in Fort Tryon Park. It is a well-known museum with a mediaeval adaptation; its structure, built around mediaeval cloisters, chapels, and halls, focuses on European mediaeval art and architecture.
• Broadway is the place you have to visit to see plays. The top of America's theatres is here. A large number of theatres and Broadway are the key attractions. The next hot spot is Shubert Alley, where you can only walk; no vehicles are permitted. It's almost a pedestrian alley. Here, many talented actors and actresses used to drop by in search of acting opportunities in the theatres.
• The Empire State Building is another attraction in New York with its 381-meter-tall, 102-storey structure. Here there is an observatory- The 86th Floor Observatory (1,050 feet) is the city's highest open-air observation deck.
• The 9/11 Memorial and museum are in One World Trade Centre on Greenwich Street. The architecturally stunning, curving glass building, is the place where the world remembers the people who died in the collapse of the World Trade Center. The bottomless waterfall here is the largest manmade waterfall in North America.
• Visit the High Line, which was once a rail line transformed into a linear public park filled with many species of plants that blossom when the season comes.

Art installations, benches, bleacher-style seating, and a glass wall looking out onto the city are the main attractions here.

• Another multilevel structure you can see here is the Hudson Yards overlook, called The Vessel. The next best place to visit is the Whitney Museum of American Art, and nearby, along the street, are many restaurants where you can have the best dishes in New York.
