  • The great Sanchistupa, installed by Ashoka on the top of the hill of Sanchi, 46 km from the city, is the sacred burial mound for the mortal remains of Lord Budha. This hemispherical dome, more than 50 feet high with a diameter of more than 30 meters, was built to honor Lord Buddha. Come and see the ancient stupas, monasteries, the Ashoka Pillar, Toranas, or ornate gateways with intricate carvings, and the rich Buddhist culture that belong to the 3rd century B.C. here in Sanchi.
  • Ujjain, one of the most attractive places where the most famous Kumbha Mela takes place, and 100 million people gather here. The bank of the Shipra River in the Malwa region is also the home of Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, one of the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Siva.
